Adrien Broner has never been quiet about jewelry. Now the boxer-turned-streamer is back in the conversation with a new iced-out Miami Cuban link and "AB" pendant, a piece social media posts say is worth over $100,000.
That number comes from posts circulating online, not from Broner or a jeweler, so treat it as reported, not confirmed. Either way, the bigger story is the comeback behind it.
The $9 million lesson
Back in June, Broner said in an interview on One Night with Steiny that he figures he's spent about $9 million on jewelry over his career and doesn't own a single piece of it today. He put that down to losing pieces while partying and to theft, including a bracelet he said was worth $500,000. He also talked about learning to slow down and think before making moves.
He's been here before
Big chains have always been part of the Broner brand. In 2016, TMZ reported he dropped $165,000 on a gold and diamond chain from Avianne Jewelry in New York, with roughly 130 carats of diamonds. So a new Cuban link is less of a surprise and more of a return to form.
Why the Cuban link keeps winning
The Miami Cuban is the go-to for a reason. It's thick, it lays flat, and it reads from across the room, especially when every link is iced. Add a custom initial pendant and it becomes a signature piece instead of just another chain.
